How to Get Real Estate License in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Licensing Requirements

Step 1 – complete Phase 1 course

In this phase, student must complete Real Estate as a Professional Career and obtain a passing mark of 70% or more

Pursuant to Commission Bylaw 307.1, an individual who wishes to apply for registration with the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission to trade in real estate must provide proof of Grade 12 completion or an equivalency that in the opinion of the Commission is appropriate. Instructions concerning this process are included in the purchase of the Phase I course.

Student can submit proof of high school diploma while studying Phase 1 or Phase 2 courses, they must submit this proof prior to initial registration.

 

Step 2 – complete Phase 2 course

In this phase, student must complete Residential Real Estate as a Professional Career, Commercial Real Estate as a Professional Career and Farm Real Estate as a Professional Career and obtain a passing mark of 70% or more.  All phase 1 and 2 courses must be completed within two years.

Step 3 – take the course examinations

The course examinations are online based only and will be written the test centers.  There will be an exam fee of $155

 

Step 4 – make application with Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission

Once successfully completed the last Phase 2 course, student must obtain registration with the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission within two years.  Please click here to download the application form

Phase 2 – Commercial Real Estate as a Professional Career course: $518.5, pay additional $682.5 for classroom instruction

Phase 2 – Residential Real Estate as a Professional Career course: $518.5, pay additional $682.5 for classroom instruction

Phase 2 – Farm Real Estate as a Professional Career: $518.5

Initial licensing fee with insurance: $705
