Prince Edward Island real estate licenseIn order to become licensed as a Salesperson in Prince Edward Island, an individual must take the licensing course offered by Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association (PEIREA).  The following are requirements in order to become licensed:

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • be a citizen of Canada or Permanent Resident of Canada
  • appears to be suitable for licensing

Prince Edward Island Licensing Requirements

Step 1 – Register for the Pre-Licensing Course

The course is administered by PEIREA, you can either complete it in 2 weeks as a full time course or 8 weeks as a part time course and you need 75% or more to pass the course.  Click here to download the application.  If you are not ready to take the course, you can purchase the course material for $500, which will be credited towards the course fee should you decide to take the course within 12 months after purchasing the course material.

Step 2 – Seek Sponsorship

Once passing the course, you must then be sponsored by a licensed real estate agent(broker) in order to apply for licensing.
